Nick has brought his classical skills to the band and is relishing the world of Rock and Roll. As well as considerable keyboard dexterity, Nick provides some of the much needed backing vocals.

Nick Bond D.o.B: 10 February 1971 Role in Breathe: Keyboard player and backing vocalist Living in Wellingborough Musical Biography Come from a musical family; father is a music teacher, organist and pianist, mother a keen cellist and sometimes choral singer. Siblings have played various instruments to a greater or lesser extent. My first musical memories date back to about the age of three or so when I know my father was conducting a choral group doing the Bach B Minor Mass and I already knew how the opening section went! A few instruments were tried on me, e.g. trumpet, without success. Dad started teaching me piano at 5, but lasted only three months. Started flute aged 8, and still occasionally have been known to pick it up (it was my second study instrument at university). Piano begun again by myself from about the age of 11, with some fairly mundane lessons at school from age 14 or so. While should have been doing grade 2 was actually learning Chopin Nocturnes etc. took Music at both 'O' and 'A' Level and entered University of Manchester in 1991 where I did a degree and graduated as a Bachelor of Music. Took my Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Secondary Music) in 1994-5. Have taught piano privately from about the age of 19. Started teaching piano in schools from 2002. Also classroom music teaching from 2001 after having worked in business for six years. Very much enjoy teaching piano, theory, aural skills, conducting and coaching ensembles, musical directing etc. Played in covers band called Limited Edition in 1995 to about 1997. Joined Breathe in summer of 2005 and found I got into Pink Floyd's music enough and got on well with the guys so somehow stuck around! Additionally I play in an Originals Rock Band, Axletree, as keyboardist and backing vocalist. Enjoying both very much.
